I finally learned how to make an MP3 out of a cassette tape. This is good, because it means I'll be able to preserve some old family recordings.
It also means I'm able to offer my sermon, "Ever-Increasing Longing," to you free of charge. It's not as polished as my previous sermon, "Mary of Bethany" -- I didn't have as long to prepare (2 weeks vs. 2 years), I was a little hurried as I started, and I put in too much content. (It could easily have been 2 or 3 sermons, but I packed it all in to one 36-minute session.) On the whole, though, I'm relatively pleased with the result.
This year is the first time in my life I've had a real opportunity to preach, and I've gotten to preach three different sermons to three different congregations! When it rains, it pours. I love preaching, though, and hope even more opportunities open up.
In other news, I had my Fall Break last weekend, and Mom taught me how to cook chicken parmesan and Mexican porkchops with Spanish rice. Mmm-mm! Now I can eat something besides Spaghetti O's!

I didn't realize your sermon was available from your blog until I read the comment by JO. I listened to it yesterday, and actually enjoyed it, too. I appreciated its serious, instructive character, but I also thought the couple of quick humor lines were very effective.
