I just had a protein shake this morning, and it was amazing. I haven't had one in at least five years, and I had a vague memory of them being kind of nasty. Well, I must have gotten the good brand this time, because it was awesome.
Several weeks ago, I started exercising again. I realized I wasn't in my twenties anymore, and I couldn't rely on my body to take care of itself. So, I'm getting up and working out six days a week: running a couple of miles three mornings a week, alternating days with weightlifting (either upper or lower body). I'm not striving for enhanced performance, or competing with myself or anyone else - I just want to establish good fitness habits for the rest of my life.
In other news, I'm down to the last three weeks of my summer school classes, and I'm swamped with work. Amazingly, I'm looking forward to the fall semester starting, because I'll have so much more free time!
