The Year in Review:

Last year, 2012, was a year of firsts.

For the first time, I moved out of my old office I've been in for the eight years I've taught at my school, and moved into a nice, spiffy new office (which, unfortunately, does not have any windows, but makes up for it in being two feet wider than my old office, and in not having any termites).

For the first time, I delivered a theology paper at an academic conference (“Pure Religion and Undefiled”: A Wesleyan Analysis of Ibn Tufail’s The Improvement of Human Reason, at the Wesleyan Theological Society annual conference)

For the first time, an academic journal accepted an article of mine for publication (the article above, in the Wesleyan Theological Journal, and will be published in a few months)

For the first time, I was accepted into a Ph.D. program (Bible and Theology, at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary).

For the first time, my wife got pregnant! (Due June 28)

My wife Lauren just finished her coursework for her Masters in Speech Therapy, and is starting her interships. I expect 2013 to be full of firsts as well. My odometer reads 215,300.
